What is a BABY Born® doll?

What is a BABY Born® (or Babyborn) doll and what does she look like? In the photo you see two of my original BABY Born® dolls.

BABY Born® is a doll that is manufactured by Zapf Creations®. BABY Born® is the correct spelling. Babyborn, one word, is used a lot but this is actually not the correct spelling.

BABY Born® dolls are fully plastic and vinyl and they are 43cm tall. As you can see in the pictures there are differences. The dark doll is and older BABY Born® and the light one is a newer version.

What are the differences between the older and newer version? Let me see, both are on the table in front of me.

* The new BABY Born® has eyelashes, the old one doesn't.

* The new BABY Born® doll has closing eyes, the old one doesn't

* The new doll's head is a little smaller.

* When the old BABY Born® stands, the feet touch.

* The new BABY Born® can also be a boy, like mine, the old one cannot.

* The older BABY Born® has 4 holes in it's back the newer version has a screw.

Even though there are all these differences, the dolls' measurements are the same and they will fit exactly the same clothes.

BABY Born® Dolls with hair

In 2010 Zapf® started producing BABY Born® dolls with hair. From what I can see, this collection will continue to grow. The dolls with hair are very popular and as soon as there is a BABY Born® doll with pig tails I will buy one too.
